No acting for ‘perfectionist’ Bold Actor Aamir Khan in 2010.Bollywood star Aamir Khan is known to strive for perfection. He now plans to take a break from acting this year as he wants to concentrate on his role as the producer of “Delhi Belly”, “Peepli Live” and “Dhobi Ghat”.“I want to take a break from acting this year. So no shootings for me. I would like to concentrate more as a producer,” Aamir said at a press conference in Big Cinemas here late Friday.“I will be reading scripts as an actor but I am not sure whether I would be saying yes to acting. I would like to market my films internationally as I personally feel that our films have potential in the international market,” he pointed out.This year, Aamir will be seen in home production “Dhobi Ghat”, which has been directed by Aamir Khan Wife Kiran Rao.With his ‘one year one movie’ plan, Aamir has managed to deliver superhits one after another and says he has been lucky in terms of directors and scripts.“I try to pick up films that I love or which move me emotionally. I have been lucky in the last 10 years to be successful. It’s because I have been lucky enough to work with directors who are very good,” Aamir maintained.
Bollywood Most Successful Film, 3 Idiots swept the 16th annual Star Screen Awards Sunday night, bagging 10 awards including best film and best director for Rajkumar Hirani at a star-studded ceremony held in Mumbai.
Another big winner was the critically acclaimed “Paa,” starring 67-year-old Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who bagged best actor for his performance as a 12-year-old boy suffering from a rare aging disease.
The film's co-star Vidya Balan won best actress for her portrayal as Bachchan's onscreen mother. “Idiots," which opened December 25, is still running strong after collecting a record $51 million (2.4 billion rupees) from both domestic and international markets within its first 10 days of release.The film also won Best Screenplay for Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra; Best Choreographer, Bosco Ceaser; best dialogue, Abhijat Joshi; Best Newcomer Male, Omi Vaidya; Best Actor in a Comic Role – Male, Omi Vaidya; Best Actor in a Negative Role, Boman Irani; and Popular Choice Award for Best Actor – Female, Hot Kareena Kapoor.Oscar winner A R Rahman (“Slumdog Millionaire”) won best music for “Delhi 6,” while most promising debut director went to Hot Nandita Das for “Firaaq."
3 Idiots is Bollywood Top Grosser ever in US.Aamir Khan- starrer 3 Idiots has set a new box office record for Bollywood films in the United States.Within two weeks of its release, it has grossed $4.8 million, according to two major box office tracking websites, Hollywood.com and Deadline Hollywood.No other Bollywood film has ever crossed the $4 million barrier before.The film collected $2.15 million in its opening week and ranked at number 12 at the box office among all films showing that week. It is playing in 119 theaters.“It is the perfect masala mix that is working for the film,” said film critic Aseem Chhabra. Bollywood Hot Actor Ranbir Kapoor visits kids in hospital.On the occasion of Children's Day Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor spent time narrating stories and singing for the children admitted at a hospital in Mumbai."It's my pleasure to be here. They actually called my mother as I was travelling. When I heard about it, I didn't want to miss it," said Ranbir while interacting with kids admitted at the Hinduja Hospital. Ranbir sang the title song of his film "Bachna Ae Hasino" and even danced with the kids. He also sat down with the kids and read out from "Jungle Book".Jaideep Sahni, writer of "Chak De! India" and "Khosla Ka Ghosla" also sat and talked to the kids for a while. Bollywood Bold Actors Neil Nitin Mukesh reveals details of his girlfriend.
Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has kept mum about his girlfriend Priyanka Bhatia so far, showed up with her for the first time at the premiere of his critically acclaimed film Jail.
He says she is an integral part of his family and that they enjoy a good comfort level. "My parents and her parents not only know and like each other, we also visit each other's homes constantly. More than lovers, we're friends first," Neil told IANS.
"There's a comfort level in our interaction that makes us very relaxed with one another. We don't have to hide anything. We meet openly and are very proud of one another. There's no pressure for marriage on either side. When it happens, it happens. The marital status would hardly alter anything between us," he added.Priyanka has done a course in fashion design and Neil is open to the idea of her designing his clothes for his films. "I'd love that. But it should happen on its own.
Neither Priyanka nor I want to pressurize anyone to use her skills. But if it happens, I'd be very happy to be dressed up by her," he said.Talking about his girlfriend's reaction to Jail, he said: "Priyanka and my mom were hysterical with grief. They weren't looking at just a character being put through a traumatic time. To them it was someone who they both love and he was in pain in front of their eyes."

Preity Zinta is leaving Bollywood for Harvard.
Bollywood Hot Actress Preity Zinta is leaving Bollywood for B-school.
“Yes, I’m going to the Harvard Business School to study a short executive course in negotiating and deal-making,” she says.
“I thought that since I spend so much time in the US, I might as well use the experience better. I applied to Harvard and got accepted, so I’m quite kicked about going there next month.” So does this keen interest in business mean we won’t be seeing her much on the big screen? “Not at all,” she says, “I want to make sure that I can balance acting and business. In fact, I’m currently buried under a pile of scripts and am reading each one to make sure that I don’t miss out on anything good. I want to do a role that I’ve never done before.” She’s also busy with the television show Behind the Seams which she is hosting and producing.
But Zinta admits that she hasn’t watched television for the past two months. “TV soaps have these close-ups of people in dark black kohl and it really scares me,” she says.
“Reality shows are also staged, so there’s nothing real in them. So what’s there to watch?” Behind the Seams too is a kind of reality show as it takes you through the journey of the Kings XI Punjab team. “It’s a reality show but there’s no acting involved. It’s about cricketers and you really can’t expect cricketers to start acting,” she laughs.
Amitabh Bachchan, Priyardarshan join hands with Toonz. Bollywood Star Big B, ace director Priyadarshan and animation major Toonz Animation have joined hands to prepare a Rs 20 crore 3D animation film titled Twinergy.Addressing reporters on the eve of Technopark-based Toonz celebrating its first decade of operations, its CEO P Jayakumar said that the pre-production work is over and the production of the film has commenced."This is a 90-minute 3D animation film in English. Bachchan cleared this story after hearing seven ideas from us. We had a three-hour discussion with him in Hyderabad where he was assisted by Abhishek and Aishwaraya.
At the end of it, he zeroed in on three and finally gave the nod for Twinergy ," said Jayakumar. The film tells the tale of a royal family, united by love and divided by misunderstanding and how they adopt two twins into their fold.The funds for this mega project have been arranged by Toonz and Priyadarshan is expected to spend a week here in the Toonz studio and would again join the team when the post-production work begins. "The post-production part will happen in Mumbai because Bachchan is particular about the quality of post-production.
The film would be released hopefully by Diwali next year," said Jayakumar. Toonz Animation has emerged as the preferred one-stop studio for entertainment majors and its client list includes Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures Corporation, Hallmark Entertainment Productions, Lionsgate Entertainment, Cartoon Network, BBC, Sony Entertainment and Marvel Characters. Elaborating on their initial years, Jayakumar said that the initial years were tough and they lost a lot of money."But now things have changed and our pipeline is full for the next three years. Now we are in a position to select what we wish to do and we have now started to outsource work to Korea, the Philippines and China. We are now making money," he added.Toonz today employs 350 professionals in the studio here with a good spread of expatriate animators. They have also set up an academy for training animators and have 11 centres in the country and their first overseas center will be opening shortly in Jordan.
Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan 'gifts' land to village council for Girls College.The controversy over Amitabh Bachchan buying agricultural land in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh ended when the Bollywood star 'gifted' the land to Daulatpur village council for building a girls college named after his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.Raj Kumari Singh Oct 27 complained to the district magistrate that though Bachchan in his 2007 letter to the Barabanki magistrate expressed his wish to gift the land to the village council, he had three years ago made the gift to an NGO to run the college.Singh said Bachchan changed his mind and instead of the village council decided to gift the land to Nishtha Foundation headed by film actress-turned-Samajwadi Party MP Jayaprada.
The foundation had taken the responsibility to build the girls' college, and the construction has been pending for more than three years.As the district magistrate set up an inquiry into Raj Kumari Singh's complaint, Bachchan promptly revoked his earlier 'gift' to Nishtha Foundation and decided to keep his earlier word of giving the land to the village council.Bachchan's land purchase has been dogged in controversy since he bought it. He was accused of using illegal means to acquire the land.

Despite the fact that this movie revolves around the basic Bollywood plot of separation and reunion, with the marvellous musical touch added, London Dreams is one of good films which have hit the screens in the recent times.Arjun and Mannu, essayed by Ajay and Salman respectively, are childhood friends with their relation bound by nothing else but music. Arjun is so passionate about music that he is in search for a chance to fulfil the dreams which his grandfather had.
But Mannu, who was least interested in the musical instruments of his father, was happy being a kid at heart. Both of them never dreamt that they will be coming together only to have catastrophic results. Arjun runs away from his uncle, only to land in London just to struggle his way to fulfil his dreams.
He forms a band with Zoheb, essayed by Rannvijay Singh (of Roadies fame) and Wasim, essayed by Aditya Roy Kapoor plus Priya, a music enthusiast portrayed by Asin.Meanwhile, Mannu is left back in Punjab and is seen being a musician for the local wedding troops for meeting his ends together. Movie takes a twist after Arjun takes Mannu with him to London, only for realising that what he did was the biggest mistake of his life.Vipul Shah has given the best of his products, both on technical as well emotional levels, with providing the right space and time for each of his main protagonists to develop their characters.
Except for a few melodrama ‘explosions’ the other scenes have been captured wonderfully by Sejal Shah on his camera.
The night scenes have been shot in the most marvellous fashion. If I have to talk about the flaws, there is nothing much except that the climax has could have slightly softer.
Shankar Ehsaan Loy have delivered their best with the lovely songs of this movie, especially the Barso re, which ends with Hanuman Chalisa.Ajay has done complete justice to his role as a rock singer. He is also one of the best negative characters of this year.
Salman is simply cool and awesome whereas Asin also has done a decent job, enough to leave her imprint on Bollywood. Popular VJs Aditya and Ranvijay are also good.In short, this is a visual treat for all the music lovers!!!!!!!

Bollywood Hot Acress Shilpa Shetty's wedding dress to be designed by Tarun.Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who is engaged to her London-based businessman beau Raj Kundra, is prepared for the big day. Her friend designer Tarun Tahiliani will design her wedding dress.The designer said that he would not reveal any detail about the outfit but promised that Shilpa would look stunning in the dress. He added that he would design all the outfits that the actress would wear at the occasion.Shilpa wore an outfit designed by Manish Malhotra at her engagement function last Saturday.
However, she has chosen Tarun to design her wedding outfit. The couple has not announced their wedding date.
