Th I-140 is not revoked yet, but the original company that filed it is going to split in to 2 separate companies by the end of the year and I think I-140 will become invalid after that right if the original company doesnt exist anymore??
You can still claim the PD of your old I-140. Once an I-140 is approved PD is yours to keep for life.

News » International. KABULThere is a quirk in the SSA software! I applied for SSN for my two sons on August 31, 2007. Two weeks later I got the card in the mail for one son. After waiting another three weeks I went back to the SSA office and found that the application for the second son had been deleted! I was asked to resubmit the application which I did. After two weeks the card arrived in the mail but guess what? The card had my second son's names but the SSN already assigned to the first son.
Another trip to the SSA office revealed that their system would assume it's the same person if the first three letters of the first name and the first three letter of the last name as well as address match! Who would design such a matching algorithm? Why did they not match on birth date as well?
Anyway, I went back to the SSA office today and a new number is yet to be assigned to my second son! I was told the application is now with their headquarters where someone will manually assign the number.

I think my scenario is little complicated.I have my I140 (EB3) cleared with previous employer and my current company has filed new labor and I140 (EB2). They are trying to capture the priority date of my old I140 approval (August 2006).
While my current I140 is still going on, can I apply for I1-485 due to sudden improvement shown for EB2 category in September Visa bulletin.
Please advice.

I believe that is still possible. There is some talk about discontinuing the concurrent application process, but it is not a rule yet. so you should be able to apply. Talk to your lawyer about it.

VFS site mentions that whole of Andhra falls under HYD jurisdiction. Probably it means that applicant if he/she going for visa first time, may not take appointment at other consulates.
Also, SF Indian consulate clearly mentions that they do not provide any services to short term visitors that includes visitors....

Mine is 11-3021.00 job zone 4 applied in Jan 2009. Anxiously waiting. :-)
What is the reason behind you saying 'case may be audited' for the OP. Just curious to check your side of thoughts.
Per lawyer, almost all EB2 cases are being audited (due to the harsh economic climate). DOL believes that if a job falls under Job Zone 5, then it requires enough preparation to justify a EB2 filing. If it falls under Job Zone 4, it's not "normal" and DOL would usually require a Business necessity letter.
